Warranty

What is covered: This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in manufacturing.

 

For how long:

  • For Under Counter products, this warranty is in effect for 3 years from the date the system is installed or received. The warranty will automatically extend as long as an active filter replacement plan is in place.
  • For Whole Home products, this warranty is in effect for 5 years from the date the system is installed or received. The warranty will automatically extend as long as an active filter replacement plan is in place.

What is covered: The warranty, and if applicable the extended warranty, covers service and maintenance.  If the service address is outside of our service area we will re-imburse for a 3rd party plumber up to $100.00 with prior approval from HomeWater and upon receipt of a copy of the service invoice.

 

What is not covered: This warranty does not cover filter cartridge replacements or any systems that were not installed in compliance with the instructions or that have been abused or operated incorrectly. It also does not cover the following:

  • Incidental or consequential damages caused by a failure of the product.
  • Clogging, as replacement of the filter cartridge is the purchaser’s responsibility.
  • Damage from use of non-potable water supplies.
  • Labor costs to install or replace the system or filters.
  • Damage caused by fire, flood, or acts of God.
  • Legal fees
  • Any professional services not approved by HomeWater.
  • Damage from overpressure,
  • Water pressure spikes,
  • Freeze damage,
  • Improper water conditions, and
  • Installation damages

 

This warranty is void if the product is used with parts that are not genuine HomeWater parts, filters, or diverter valves. Refunds will be given solely at the discretion of HomeWater.

 

How to get service: To receive service under this warranty, you must contact HomeWater within the warranty period in Canada by calling 1-800-408-5314 or in the USA by calling 1-855-464-9736 or by email to customerservice@homewater.com. We will verify that the product is under warranty and determine whether a part or the whole system will be replaced and whether you must send back the defective part at our cost in which case we will send you a return shipping label. If you did not purchase directly from HomeWater, you must provide proof of purchase. All refunds are given solely at the discretion of HomeWater. All returned products will be carefully analyzed to determine if it has been used, abused, or damaged in any other way (this includes products damaged during installation, or operated improperly).

 

What HomeWater will do: If you are within the warranty period, we will replace the defective part or, if necessary, the product.
